To narrow your search when looking for properties:

1. Make a list of all the must-haves in your future home, be as complete as possible.

2. Make sure you get pre-approved for a mortgage by a lender. This will help ensure you look for homes you can buy.

3. Research available homes and  Malibu neighborhood/community information on my website and the MLS to see all listings and choose the ones that fit your criteria the best. I’ll provide you a direct portal where you can save your favorites,  mark the rejects so you don’t waste time and keep notes on the site so you won’t forget or misplace your work. Get a feel for what’s available and the differences in the neighborhoods. I can help you sort  through the  properties  more quickly once we start working together and get a feel for your needs, but review photos and videos of multiple homes on the MLS portal to help  narrow your search before going out to view homes in-person.

4. Remember to not get sidetracked when viewing homes at aesthetics that can be changed out easily, such as paint colors and light fixtures. Look past any bad decor and focus in on items in the home that can’t easily be changed, such as the home’s location and lot qualities.
